GardHouse bridges the gap between minority-owned businesses and a labor market that is being missed. We are evolving the minds of job seekers to consider an additional new pipeline created for employment. Through our Job Board, recent college graduates of color can find entry-level positions in the Charlotte Metro Area.
Changing the landscape of professional engagement, GardHouse curates events that connect students of color with a variety of professionals across the Charlotte Metro area. Open to non-cohort members, all students are able to attend various employment events.
GardHouse hosts four development workshops a semester that is exclusive to cohort members. In each workshop, students are equipped with the resources that enhance their professional and personal acumen.
“With a mission of supporting students of color in finding internships and job opportunities, GardHouse fills a void in a specific community, along with supplying me with a resource to find future employers in a field that is competitive and is underrepresented in the black community.”
